What happened today with Syria, vis a vis the US?

I've looked at a number of threads were things are being discussed, obliquely, like we all know. I'm a nightshifter, who slept last night and has taken her sleep meds to sleep all day (switcharoo), so I won't be on the site long. Someone help a sister out, eh?

Last I heard, Congress was voting on Wednesday, Sept 11th, which I thought was pretty damn creepy.
