Bravo to our CIC, he IS the man I voted for and whether the detractors/instigators want to admit it or not he is NOT SHRUB.

(13,685 posts)He's a very smart man. He heard us telling him not to act like shrub. That is change, right there.

(12,471 posts)At any rate, Obama deserves credit for getting the RepubLIEcons to be against a war. It's like getting them to go against their religion.
I still don't believe that we should be the world's police, and I do believe that this is about the pipeline that Russia wants to install there, to supply gas to Europe, in competition with Saudi Arabia, and other US allies.

(975 posts)So where are we now "have a nice day, I think we are done now, enjoy your stay, welcome to ignore, or my post count is better than your post count". I guess the latter is your hiding place. I have been here since the beginning had to get a new account, all was lost in a computer melt down, but I have been here. Reading, and taking account of what is going on. If that's the best you got "Mr. New guy", LOL I guess there really is nothing to worry about. Oh and thanks for admitting your a detractor I would have picked instigator but since this is your preference..................

(37,250 posts)Holy fuck, you are so gosh darned amazing there, Spanky, what with your clever wordsmithery and all!
Gobsmacked, I am! Holy fuck, I feel so schooled now!
Seriously, you should post more! You have such awesome knowledge to share with all of us!
Please, don't deny us your insights!
RL
Your argument boils down to "I have a higher post-count than you."
Cogent!
RetroLounge
(37,250 posts)He said Obama isn't Shrub.
I agreed.
What's your next question, Spanky?

(63,086 posts)Your argument, if such it may be called, was that the original poster's point is less valid or more deserving of scorn because the poster has a low post count. At best, that's a cheap shot.
But if that's all you've got, then far be it from me to deny you an opportunity to piss higher on the tree trunk.
RetroLounge
(37,250 posts)and cheap shots are what's deserved.

(63,086 posts)Someone responded to your snark with snark, so you mocked their low post-count.
Keep on pissing.

(12,530 posts)I see your USMC logo. If you're active duty, he is of course your commander in chief, as George HW Bush was my commander in chief in the early 90s. But he's the CIC of the armed forces, and not of the civilian population of the US. We have a President; the military has a commander-in-chief. Thanks.
4bucksagallon
(975 posts)You know the saying "once a Marine, always a Marine". The armed forces of course will/would be the ones involved in any military action. I don't think civilians are yet being mobilized. LOL! I had to serve under "Tricky Dick" who was my CIC, so I still feel strongly about our military, and I care. I am also still a member of VVAW, so I feel involved in the military to this day.

(24,104 posts)W - Invades Iraq, ultimately costing a trillion dollars, kills thousands of American troops, maims tens of thousands more, Kills untold amount of innocent civilians, finds no WMDs.
Obama - Gets Syria to admit having WMDs and a willingness to give them up without firing a shot. (so far)

(975 posts)Many people on here have been saying that the President is no better than Shrub, I beg to differ. Actually he rises far above Shrub, for those willing to open their eyes and remember what we dealt with before. Do you recall "You're either with us or with the terrorists"........ Have you heard anything close to that kind of flag wrapped, false patriotic BS from this President?

(25,111 posts)Un-American, not a Patriot, you must hate America, you are not one of us.
Nopes, he nor his allies have said that. AC on Fake news called him Putin's "Monkey".
I haven't read no one from here who supports his decision on Syria say anything like that too.
Much vitriol tho.
