Since he wasn't even born...

There is no demand for sending an American Expeditionary Force outside our own borders. There is no intention by any member of your Government to send such a force. You can, therefore, nail any talk about sending armies to Europe as deliberate untruth.

Our national policy is not directed toward war. Its sole purpose is to keep war away from our country and our people.

Of course FDR went further by having the U.S. ratchet up munitions manufacturing for Europe's military.

Did I hear Newt say on CNN that he is an historian? ,,,also that he is sick and tired of the Democrats "lying about history." Did he say that?
I have a BA in History and an MA in American Studies. If Newt is an historian then I am a 76 year-old Chippendale dancer.

And people say he isn't shy about telling everyone in the room that fact, then proceeding to prove just how much historical knowledge he has tucked away in that giant noggin of his. Unfortunately, his recounts of history are often full of errors.

He's arrogant, obnoxious, and wrong.
