I see the Morlocks are out in full force today regarding Colorado.

Almost gleefully proclaiming that any attempt by the Democratic Party to embrace any gun control measures, no matter how sensible, will only result in certain defeat for the entire party's electoral chances in the future, and that we ought to throw in the towel if we knew what is good for us. Which, apparently, we don't.

I'm just glad that none of these people were advising Dr. King and others during the Civil Rights Era.

"Firehoses? Fuck that shit!"

I think you underestimate certain groups love for guns. I know for a fact the African-american community like guns, I wouldnt say were gun nuts, but I will say were not afraid of them.

there is a thriving AA gun culture - may not be as large as the white one but it certainly exists. The death toll among AA is proof of that.

How many more Democrats are we willing to throw away over this issue?

That is why we have democracy. Sometimes, elected leaders take brave stands. It is sad that the state is full of a bunch of shit heads who believe they need massive high capacity magazines in order to feel safe, but I am glad they are now seen for the Neanderthals they are.

Yes, this state which saw the horrific Columbine and Aurora shootings is out of step with sanity for recalling these Democrats.

I have a democracy to tell those who write the laws which laws I do or do not want.

Only sheep need a shepherd.

administration passed. See? Try and argue against that.

I'm not saying the people didn't have the legal or democratic right to recall these political leaders, I am just saying it was stupid of them, and we SHOULD elect principled leaders--not yes men who are constantly IM'ing us about how they should vote.
