Think about it. Clearly his political career is now over. But the very qualities that doomed him at the polls could work for him on the air.
Take the incident with the guy in the yarmulke. Now replace him with, say, Chris Christie. BOOM!

(53,475 posts)Or maybe one of those people who sit in empty chairs at gala events so the cameras don't pick up an empty chair - no wait, too risky.

(2,208 posts)He had to stay in the race, in order to spend all the donation money he collected, or he would have to give it back. If he has anything left over, he has a certain amount of time to donate it to another campaign.
But yes, his political career is now over.
And I think he would probably be a great talk show host.
That was really all he was good for anyway... bloviating.
He didn't really have any kind of record of legislation under his belt.
But he was one of the best bloviators on "our side."
Fox News loved him, and he never let them get away with their usual shit.
There's something to be said for that...

(7,720 posts)a pervert. His biggest problem is that he seems to be a jerk.
If he were to go into the talkshow business, his best chances would be for him to do something similar to Morton Downey, Jr.'s talkshow.

(7,720 posts)I don't think anybody likes Weiner, so there's that problem with getting people to watch him on a talkshow.
