Right up there with Palin seeing Russia from her house. ON EDIT to add the video clip (remarks at the 16 minute mark).

(30,885 posts)It was a sound bite played on MSNBC. They showed him talking about his 93 year old mom and then there was the quote about "the men and women who signed the Declaration of Independence." They didn't show an extended clip so it wasn't really framed contextually. But it was all part of damage control, just to show you how much Rick "hearts" women.

(30,885 posts)He starts talking about the D.O.I. around the 15 minute mark, and drops the bomb at 16. So fat, there's not an edit of just that remark on YouTube, but I'm sure it's in process.

OMG - that asshole dares to talk about big government that thinks it knows better than us how to run our lives but he's against birth control and tells us sex is not for pleasure but only procreation?

(65,616 posts)and her sister signed the Declaration of Independence and she wasn't even born yet!!!! I believe it was right after Jefferson freed all the slaves and wrote his now famous pamplet, Wealth of Nations. This, of course, was all going on while we were fighting our first civil war (the secret one).

(30,885 posts)At least the link works. I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before someone posts the "Declaration" excerpt by itself.
