to Putin's Times op-ed."
Senator John McCain will submit an opinion piece to the Russian newspaper Pravda, in response to an op-ed on Syria in the New York Times by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, that infuriated many members of Congress.
"Senator McCain is glad to take them up on the offer and will submit a piece," said Brian Rogers, a spokesman for the Republican senator from Arizona, who is one of the leading congressional voices on international affairs.
McCain's decision to write a column for Pravda came about after the US publication Foreign Policy sent the Russian outlet a transcript of a CNN interview in which McCain discussed Russian restrictions on press freedom and joked that he would like to write for Pravda.
Pravda responded by saying that it would be pleased to publish a story "by such a prominent politician as John McCain", Foreign Policy said.

Got to give Pravda some credit. They look "fair and balanced" by giving a prominent US politician an opportunity to write an op-ed. And they choose a crazy, conservative who will make Putin look like a peaceful, moderate diplomat.

Tempting though it may be to take on Pooty-Poot in the editorial arena, grown-ass adults resist that temptation and continue talking in earnest. McAnus, however, is a fucking child who cannot resist replying to a taunt. His ego is much more important than the diplomatic process, yunno.
On edit: I'd better emphasize that I believe Pooty-Poot was acting like a fucking child as well when he chose to rant in an op-ed. Wouldn't wanna be accused of being a Putin fanboi, after all.
