Good news on Syria

_______________________

. . . keep the pressure on the administration to have the patience to see their diplomacy through.

I'm still cynical. Kerry gives Syria a week to produce a list of sites and inventory, I believe. ANY delay in military strikes is a positive for me, so . . . we're headed in the right direction, after all of the autocratic declarations of a threat to the U.S. and assertions that Pres. Obama can unilaterally initiate war on Syria.

Yeah, I'm bitter and suspicious after all of that. I think I have good cause to be. Enough with the red lines. Enough with the saber rattling. The U.S can't afford to militarily intervene in Syria. It's still a boneheaded idea and it's still on the table.

proposed resolution is tenuous at best. Unlike Iraq these
inspections will occur in an active war environment. How
does that work, I wonder? Will UN forces be engaged to
protect the inspectors?

The six week lag until inspections start opens the window
to a rogue force getting a hold of some of the chemical
weapons...whether from the army side or rebel side...
then I suppose all bets are off on military force. Just
thinking out loud bigtree....I hope peaceful and
uneventful inspections happen to avoid war.

Edit: I misread the schedule....glad I did. Seems the initial
inspection for CW has a target date by November.
