All in all, a good week - Please, Hillary just say NO to a 2016 run

So much time has been wasted over years of D.C. (mostly Republican) nonsense - endless votes on defunding Obamacare, Benghazi, (non) immigration policy, phony Issa hearings, stonewalling gun control, a struggling economy and jobs market, foreclosure a-go-go still, trade wars, sequester woes, crumbling infrastructure and public buildings, education (non) reform, to name a few.

The news on Syria and Summers is very heartening. Let's keep it coming. You've served your country, Hillary. We thank you, but your time has passed along with the DLC. We need a champion.

I think her ship has sailed, that she shouldn't necessarily be considered our inevitable choice. She has much government experience, but I feel she is too corporate friendly and disappointed many of with her vote on the authorization for war.

Champion? Could be Elizabeth Warren. She's a proven fighter for the middle class, and our country is going to need such a backbone well after Obama leaves office.

If the primary voters disagree with you and choose Hillary as the candidate, well, that's democracy.

You don't want Hillary? Then don't vote for her in the primary.

I know people say that, well, it has to be Hillary because she has the money.

But I think that the Clintons like Summers were too responsible for disastrous economic policies. And Hillary was not nearly the Sec. of State that Kerry is turning out to be. We are better off with strong liberals. Frankly, it isn't so much their liberal points of view as it is the fact that they tend to be both more intelligent and more flexible than the corporate types. And Hillary is absolutely a corporate type. She is best buddies with the usual rich folks.

Elizabeth Warren gave a great speech to the Labor Conference here in LA this week, and I think she will get better and better with her speeches as she learns that crowds really like her natural presence. She understands the economic issues that touch the middle class, and that is what we need in our president in the coming years. The economy is going to be tough going for quite some time to come. The disparity in wealth at this time is our biggest problem, our greatest challenge, and she understands how to deal with it better than any other of our politicians.

The country is ready for a woman, I believe. I think that Elizabeth Warren's time has come. She will have labor's backing.

Think of the problems that Elizabeth Warren tackles. Student loans are going to be a really big problem in the coming years. Elizabeth Warren has spoken out on that issue. The banks will be in trouble again, just wait and see, within the next few years. Elizabeth Warren is the person to deal with that, and this time the country will be ready for her ideas. We need to focus more on American jobs and less on trade agreements. I think Elizabeth Warren will find a good balance there too.

I am really optimistic that if Elizabeth Warren runs, she can win, and the money and the votes will be there.

Hillary still has a terrible problem with her voice. It sounds harsh and cold. Elizabeth Warren's sounds warm but confident. People don't realize how important a candidate's voice is. I believe that the voice is the true mirror of the soul.

I wish she had more government experience, but you work with what have. I think she has a strong character and she means what she says, and that goes a long way. Hillary is just out of the question for me. I might not vote for her even if she's the nominee.

she doesn't have to watch what she says because she can't keep up with all the lies she told previously. Like a Clinton would have to.

I think Warren has a good a chance as anyone to get the nomination, if she wants it. I don't believe all this nonsense about her not being experienced enough. I would much prefer not to see the kind of 'experience' Hillary has - loser on voting wrong for wars, not a good manager (her 2008 primary team led Her around by the nose) and this thing about her 'toughness' - that makes me wince. She can't even take a surprise question out of the blue without falling apart at the seams - and this is 'tough'. I am referring to the unhinged reaction she had when asked about Clinton's conflict of interest in Columbia and her wonderful and adept answer of angels dancing on the head of some pin.

I think the strongest arguments are that she'll be a formidable candidate who knows how to deal with The Beltway and its attendant bullshit.

The negatives are kind of the same thing as the positives. She's an insider. She voted for the IWR.

But it's still early. I will say that she's not automatically entitled to the nomination, she will have to earn certainly my support, but I haven't written her off, either.

Hillary has to much baggage and is tied to corporations.. we will never hear the end of BENGHAZI!.. It will be on rewind daily.. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?

Please don't make us go thru that!!

She will do just as PO has... go to the right on the issues

Liz Warren would work for the people.. Not the corporations.

She is fair, concise, intelligent and can speak in a way people

understand...

She does not spin .. she tells the truth!

Hillary is too old, too connected to big money, too out of touch with the rest of the real world.

I love to remind DU that in 2001 "everyone" was convinced that Al Gore was the best and obvious candidate for 2004.

In 2005, "everyone" could hardly wait to see Kerry as our nominee in 2008.

Oh. And in 1991 it was so obvious that George HW Bush would win re-election, that every single viable candidate quietly withdrew from running.
