The immediate reactions to the April 15 Boston bombing were certainly politically opportunistic, and in bad taste, I thought.

On the other hand, people here jumped to an unsupported conclusion about the bomber's politics, whereas here it appears they're reacting to the shooter's race. Judging someone's race seems much worse than judging someone's politics.
