(16,834 posts)It's really criminal that the media won't heed his advice. Everybody knows he's right, but they're greed for ratings and advertising dollars won't let them do what he says. It's going to take a lawsuit of a victim's family in a subsequent shooting to make them listen, not that a lawsuit would be successful. News organizations have a 1st Amendment right to broadcast all those details, but it's apparently too much to ask for them to exercise some restraint for the public good.

(12,233 posts)So tired of the same repeat media tizzy when something like this occurs. I turned on MSNBC for news and had a half hr of speculation while looking at police lights from a distance of anything at all. Turned it as soon as they had their FBI "profiler" idiot come on.

(4,775 posts)that guy is an instant channel change, or better yet the off button. I couldn't watch any news today, tried for a few minutes but we've all seen this movie way too many times by now.
