Suffering through a day with no end in sight? Please come CAPTION Rush Limbaugh!!!!

Rush ("Every minute without a lie is a minute lost&quot Limbaugh is saying: "Caller, caller. . . James. . . . Settle down and give me a moment to refresh your memory. . . . The Obama administration has presided over disaster after disaster after disaster: Bush left him a robust economy, and Obama drove us off the fiscal cliff, losing millions of jobs and causing a global financial meltdown; Obama drug his heels on Katrina until almost half-a-million of people died; Obama ignored warnings that could have prevented the hijacked planes from killing thousands of our fellow citizens, etc., etc., etc. The list goes on and on and on! . . . . Just what's wrong with your memory, James-from-Georgia?"

I don't know why I'm not familiar with Wallace Stevens but your line prompted me to go to the Google machine and look him up. I read a couple of his poems and truly enjoyed them. Will read more of his work.

That was 1972-1973.

We also looked at the works of Walt Whitman, T. S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, and William Carlos Williams, to name a few.

The professor remarked that the line "downward to darkness, on extended wings" referred to death with dignity. That has stayed with me since as I believe at times many of us are making "ambiguous undulations" as we "sink, downward to darkness, on extended wings."

That was 40 years ago and I'm still looking at life through the observations of poets.

I really got a lot out of that class!

Obama tanked the White House's credibility, he attacked an innocent country under false pretences, and he has a vice-president that would make a snake look like a cuddle doll."
