I had to get something from my car so I walked down the stairs and there was this young man with a headset on and I could still hear the loud noise (music is not the word).
I asked him what he thought he was doing to his eardrums if I could hear the music in my office.
His response - I never thought about that you know - thanks. I swear a lot of our young people are completely disconnected from reality including their own bodies.
Still shaking head.

Repeat offenders should be sent to jail and have their cars seized. This is a major quality of life issue.

(512 posts)Even after 13 years of enduring all kinds of explosions, and many hours of too loud music with ears unprotected (artillery, mortars, small arms, and then celebratory concerts, road trips etc.) my hearing has gotten better since I enlisted. According to the tests they give me annually at least.
