(68,644 posts)1. I'm glad. There's no need to bring a gun into a Starbucks.
I never thought there was. I mean seriously, how often was that happening?
Their bottom line will improve.
Gun nuts, the few of them that WOULD bring a gun into Starbucks, will either go to a different place of leave the thing in their car.
With their dogs and babies.
Good on Starbucks.

This is merely a token corporate feel good gesture

(54,770 posts)3. Would you enjoy a cup of coffee while browsing DU with these guys?
But that has nothing to do with the people in the pics...they wouldn't bother me a bit. I wouldn't enjoy it because Starbucks coffee is awful.

(18,501 posts)5. It is a little premature celebration
as the letter clearly states weapons are not banned. The open carry people made a grave mistake thinking Starbucks was on their side and tried to make them into a pawn. The reaction is SB is less neutral on the subject, but really they have not changed their policy.
