Story update: Accused Drunk Driver Pleads Guilty To Aggravated Vehicular Homicide
The man who admitted to causing a deadly crash after he allegedly drove drunk, the wrong way, on Interstate 670 has pleaded guilty in court Wednesday morning.
Matthew Cordle, 22, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs in connection with the death of 61-year-old Vincent Canzani in June.
The Powell native made local and national headlines when his YouTube video admitting to a drunken driving crash that killed Canzani.
He is accused of driving the wrong way on I-670 near 3rd Street on June 22, 2013 at about 2:45 a.m.
The indictment alleges that Cordle had a blood alcohol level of .191 at the time of the crash.
