I prefer to look at this as not some odd Bible Belt conspiracy, but that all Republicans aren't the scumbags their leaders seem to want them to be and that we portray them as.

I've known Republicans who were decent people aside from politics, and there may be a lot more of them out there. Congress doesn't really represent the entire country.

There's even a couple of Republicans I'm running against this year for a local office that I'll happily have a beer with after the election is over. No matter who wins.
