We have heard as much shock over Alexis' security clearance as Snowden's

Which is strange.

Alexis having a security clearance but being a mass-shooter only matters if one is worried about him shooting secret documents.

Getting into places that require a security clearance is not mass-shooter heaven. (Such facilities are likelier to have armed security at the perimeter, for starters.)

A movie theater is mass-shooter heaven. A Walmart. A high school football game. An elementary school.

All places where security clearance is quite irrelevant.

On the other hand, we have Snowden who was not motivated to shoot anyone, but rather motivated to publish highly classified information.

How he got a (very high) security clearance/rating is an important question.
