1. I still remember where I was when I heard the news and I was devastated

I was a Freshman in college and in the cafeteria with some friends. We were talking about buying tickets to see Hendrix, because he was going to come to Pgh. on tour (although I can't remember what the date of the concert was going to be). Another friend came over to our table and said he heard the news that Hendrix was dead. None of us could/would believe it!

Music was never the same after that, at least for me. RIP Jimi, we're still playing the music, just as you asked us to.

... the late 70s and early 80s.

I feel cheated; I missed out on that whole period in music.

(I had to grow up in the Disco ERROR!) Ugh!

7. Wow! I visited the gravesite in 1982 and it was just Jimi's tombstone

12. The last I saw his grave was in 1994, a simple footstone.

I burned sweetgrass over it. There was a bunch of liquor bottle offerings and incense sticks all around. The grass was all worn out. I guess that's why the moved him and built this memorial over his grave.
