(4,775 posts)I used to love to read the writings of a woman named Anne Herbert, don't hear about her anymore. I think she was the one who coined the phrase random acts of kindness, senseless acts acts of beauty. She was also a remarkably honest human, her writing reflected that, it was that rare honesty that just jumped off the page and hit you. I forget where I used to read her work, probably the old CoEvolution Quarterly (the predecessor of the Whole Earth Review, hope I'm remembering this correctly).

Anyway she isn't really the point, though I don't know how many people these days are aware of her.
