Watching Jon Stewart, I just had an Epiphany!

I was watching Jon's interview with High Jackman, comparing the USA with Australia on Progressive issues.

Jackman's "take" was that it's one thing to get legislation passed with a small population, but it's quite another with a large population.

He compared it to turning an ox in the middle of the road.

The imagery came to mind - do you shoot the ox because he's not turning fast enough?

a woman' and is a sometimes denier of climate change, a man who wants to restrict both divorce and abortion. He is also opposed to stem cell research.
So what was Jackman saying about progressive issues? Hugh must have a tax policy in mind for his class, I don't see anything progressive about the recent election results in Australia. The ballot was so long they issued magnifying glasses at polling places. That is not a joke, but a fact.
