Can anyone explain to me why the administration or the Democratic congress members

haven't sold the ACA plan/benefits better? Is it because they won't truly know until after Oct. 1st when people sign up to see what the rates will be? I realize that the more that sign up the lower the premiums, but they could at least sell the benefits IF and WHEN everyone is signed in.

They have allowed the Republicans and their think tanks to spread all this poison about the plan, scare young people away from signing up and put the fear of God into seniors on SS, which shouldn't even be involved.

The Democrats have never been vocal enough about their bills or ideas for improving the country...the economy...the job situation. Why is that?

Perhaps they believe that people will like the ACA once it kicks in, and then the Republicans will look like asses to independents.

from signing up, the probability of higher costs will make the rates rise higher than if a high percentage of the young people signed up. They need to show some examples or release some videos on how the plan works. I don't think people understand that this would be like a group plan. The bigger the spread, the cheaper the plan. Most people don't know what their present plan has until they need it.

The one thing the Republicans are good at is spreading the message, especially the wrong message.

They always seem to let the GOP control the message. I remember how bad it was in the 80's, when "liberal" was a dirty word. Part of it, I guess, is that Republicans are so loud. They're always mad and bitching about everything. The GOP can't create anything; all they can do is tear down.

For some reason, in our society, destruction is always more attractive than creation. Destruction is a necessary part of creation, but Americans get off so much on destruction that it's like feeding an addiction. We never get to the building stage.

Republicans were walking on, but there comes a time when they should stand up and fight back. Can't they see how proud we are when they stand up for their principles? Darn it, get some backbone and refute the lies the Republicans are spewing all over the place.

Democratic politicians may think the people will figure it out in the end, but we're getting to the point where there are so many lies, this may be THE END.

Wake up!

Where the Dems are failing is in the VALUES messaging. The basic value underlying real universal health care is that everyone deserves health care, no exceptions. ACA doesn't quite meet that criterion, what with its platinum, gold, silver and bronze people (should ad "dirt" for those over 50), but it could still be defended with the basic value that IT HELPS PEOPLE. Not sure when Dems became afraid to say that helping people is a good thing.

known as the DC bubble. As we all know, most Americans are not as informed as the beltway with the inner workings of policy and government relationships at work. Thus, the Democratic party is unable to spread the message at a grassroots level which is why they also suffered losses in local, city and state elections the last ten years.
