Obviously, it is political. They think they can have a re-run of 2010 when they took over the House.

But they know they cannot get the Senate or the President to go along with their ill-conceived plan. But that doesn't matter. All they have to do is get their knuckle-dragging, tea-bagging, Obama-ragging supporters fired up for the mid-term elections. I'm convinced that is their strategy behind all this "shut down the government" threats. They know their supporters better than anyone.

Who are they trying to deceive? Their own low-information supporters. There is little reason to doubt but that they will be successful.

When he gave his victory speech yesterday. They need to take him to Alcoholics Anonymous right away. The last time I saw his wife with him (inauguration day), she gave him the "I am sick if your drunk ass" look that only wives can give. Her body language backed it up too. He's pathetic.

That funds the government but doesn't defund Obamacare. They will go back to their districts and say "we tried to defund it, but the Senate wouldn't go along with us so we had to pass their bill to keep the government funded".
