I am pro-choice, pro-marriage equality, pro-drug legalization, and I would support all non-violent drug offenders being released from prison.

I support single payer health care and fully support Obamacare as a big step in this direction.

I would completely ban all automatic weapons, semi-automatics, and handguns, with confiscation of these weapons after the ban is in effect.

I oppose the death penalty 100%. I believe that Guantanamo Bay should be closed immediately.

I support taxes remaining at approximately their current levels (but with simplification to remove loopholes). I support free trade, NAFTA, and the other free trade agreements. I don't automatically hate corporations.

I support the Citizens United decision.

I support intervening when necessary in the affairs of foreign countries (for example, for humanitarian reasons or for preventing countries such as Iran from getting nukes).

So in answer to your question, I'm not sure. Perhaps there are too many issues for people to be pigeonholed into one of two categories.

conservative no longer means spend only what is really needed and pay as you go with the wealthy paying a little more than the poorest. And government only big enough to do its job.

Now it means corporatist and/or protect the robber barons and use peoples sex lives, health decisions and personal choices as tools to keep the 99% busy.
