Yes, the title has to be the same as the source being quoted. But if the stories originate from local papers, they will often have "state" or "senate" or "house" without any indication of whether the "state" in the tile is Virginia or Wyoming, for example.
So, please, add, in parenthesis, the name of the state so it is clear for the rest of us.
I was just reading a whole thread and still am not sure whether the county in question is in Washington, California, or Oregon.

(146,284 posts)the state should be identified early in the post. I often have to click the link to learn the state, and even then it can be difficult sometimes. Local media tends to think everyone reading it knows where Springfield is located, forgetting that cities of that name can be found in many states.
What I often have to do is click the Contact us link to find out what state the newspaper or TV station is located.

Not sure why there is confusion about the county since only a county in a state can secede from that state.
It might be better to put questions like this in ATA for admin, though I understand why you posted it. It is annoying to not be able to tell what state something is in and good advice for people to make it clear.
