And while President Obama was hugging the family members - the two folks on FoxNews were already bashing President Obama (on split screen)
There was a white priest and an African-American talking head/host on at the time - I didn't catch their names.
They both were criticizing the president for using a greater about of time to talk 'gun policy/politics' than about the victims.
Republicans and the FoxNews folk make me want to vomit !!!

(966 posts)...how they were paraphrasing the President's speech on the graphics at the bottom of the screen.
I caught something interesting as well....
Right when the crowd was reciting a prayer out loud, led by a clergy member at the podium, the image of President and Mrs. Obama was on screen, as they were reciting the prayer. About 3 or 4 seconds later, the camera quickly panned away, and it wasn't a clean cutaway to another angle. It was as if someone was quickly moving the camera. I don't know if this was just on Fox or on all of the cable networks, but it was as if someone didn't want the TV audience to see President and Mrs. Obama praying!
On edit, it appears that it WAS only on Fox, because on the video from The Washington Post, there is no video of President and Mrs. Obama praying along.

(36,974 posts)I wonder IF they were trying to 'catch' the president NOT praying.
Then they could use the video to bash him.
But since his and Michelle's lips were moving they wouldn't be able to say they weren't - so it was like they cut away real fast.

(966 posts)That would be their next "Democratic Disgrace"...just like the other day, when they alleged that Democrats "walked out" of the Benghazi hearing before the victim's family members were to testify, without mentioning that they left during an intermission, and of the 24 House Republicans present for the first part of the hearing, only 6 were there for when the victim's family members spoke.
Their antics are laughable, and yet millions believe them!

(39,961 posts)and people that speak the truth worthy of prosecution. I don't know what the hell this country is coming to when a Democratic official claims that people on Fox are journalists and ordinary people are incapable of being so.

(39,961 posts)Those are journalists on Fox News. Anyone else that doesn't have a syndicated channel, not so much.
Or has that idea been (appropriately, since it is stupid) abandoned, yet?
