At Kings Island today in Planet Snoopy kids area a couple with guns strapped to their legs

They had tee-shirts on that said 8/22 Never Forget...

Can't figure out what the tee shirts mean, but more importantly,I was appalled that they were walking around a kids amusement park area with guns strapped to them. I wanted to walk up to them and ask them to leave the area. Seriously what in the hell is wrong with people. They may think that they have a "right to bear arms" but I have a right not to have to explain to my 6 and 4 year old granddaughters why people were walking around the amusement park with guns.

How can we tell the Constitutional blowhards from the nuts who committ shooting rampages. All the mass shootings start with an asshole with a gun and voila, you've two of them right there. That'd make me nervous and I've had a CCW permit for the last 15 years and I've been known to keep a concealed piece near me.

Open carry should be banned even in the loosest CCW permit states.

But, gun lovers seem to excuse Weaver's racism, violence, gun trafficking, and raising a family to be just like him. The feds gave him plenty of time to walk out unarmed and surrender. He chose to hide behind his family, even sending his 14 son out armed to confront the feds.

Not much excuse for any of Weaver's doings, yet gun lovers find a lot of love for him.

Official reports from law enforcement agencies label the entire thing a disaster. You focus solely on the wanted man, but a fair approach would be to focus also on the methods used to arrest him. I don't care if the man is hiding behind his family. it's the responsibility of law enforcement not to kill innocents. Yeah, he didn't walk out. But he was cornered and they could have waited and worn them down.

No one should have been shot.

Weaver should gave surrendered. Agents did not shoot his wife for the heck of it (obviously, I feel sorry for her).

Truth is, I have no sympathy for a racist, who tried to arm the Ayran (?) Nation to help them intimidate or kill minorities.

Weaver should have surrendered and asked that his family receive help for their hatred.

Unfortunately, police departments across the country are having their budgets cut right and left, hell, our Sheriff's Department is 6 deputies down right now and all overtime has been cancelled except in extreme circumstances, which puts a huge strain on us duty wise.
There has been many a time where we can't answer calls in a timely manner due to officer shortages, can you imagine how that makes us feel?

It's fast getting to the point where the citizens can't count on law enforcement to protect them and this greatly saddens me, I became a Sheriff's Deputy to help my county and I am at the point where I can barely do that now.

The repukes, which are a bunch of loud mouthed assholes, have, in the past, convinced our county commissioners not to raise property or sales taxes to properly fund our department, but, we are starting to see a turn around and I think in the next election cycle, we may see some slight increases in taxes to help us and the FD, which has suffered devastating cutbacks.

Our FD have had to revert back to volunteer status along with our Ambulance Service.
I can't understand how these idiots think this is a revenue saving cut, what ever happened to what's best for the citizens?
As I said, we're finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel and I think we're going to defeat those asshole repukes on the county commission and get some pragmatic candidates elected.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Never admit to being a cop, your buddies who are corrupt bullies give the very few that aren't corrupt, a black eye. In all reality most cops are corrupt because they turn a blind eye. Millions of dollars in law suits are spent on violent, corrupt cops. Could it be part of needing more tax dollars, to support legal expenses or hire more crooked cops????

"8/22 Never Forget" is a reference to the lock down of the community when law enforcement was searching for the Boston Marathon Bombers

As you may recall they secured a very large area asking everyone to remain indoors as police teams searched.

This may be their way of saying "look what can happen if the Government gets out of control !"

I did a little checking, "Open Carry" is apparently not restricted by Ohio statute, however, the Amusement Park would be able to prohibit such displays if signage were posted.

Kings Island is private property.

"I remain convinced that the issue of guns in American culture, as hard-wired to our national origins as slavery was, will take every bit as long to rectify as slavery, and can only happen if Americans want it to happen, which most of them don’t now. So let’s at least acknowledge the truth: This country is soft on domestic terrorism."

by putting up no firearms allowed signs, the property owner can tell someone to leave, if they refuse, then we can charge them with trespass, which, unfortunately, is only a Class C misdemeanor, which is not enough to lose their firearms rights.

Smh over the stupidly. And honestly? They put everyone around them at risk of injury or death carrying around firearms. If they are that casual in public, I question how responsibly they handle them in private. I don't get the casual attitude these yahoos have.

This may sound like a strange comparison:
it's like working with bulls:
1.you don't make pets of them, treat them with respect, and handle them as little as you can get away with. (people have been killed/mauled by their pet bulls)
>guns aren't toys)

2.Know where they're at all times and watch them. Leave yourself an out too. Warn people where they are.: Hey, be careful, Pen 2 has a bull in it.
>assume they are always loaded
>don't point it at anyone
>know where you are shooting into and have a clear target.

3.They are there for one purpose: to impregnate heifers and cows with the end result of producing milk
>a guns purpose is to kill.
Not to make you feel like Badass of the Week,
parade around Chucky Cheese, Planet Snoopy, or a pediatric intensive care unit.

Dumb city slickers. They would be rounded mocked if they paraded around up here like Dirty Harry.
