He will argue the repuKKKe line, but I honestly think he's smarter than that. What some people will do for a meal ticket.

entrepreneurship is what would really lift people out of poverty. He thought that is what the Republican Party was all about. I think he had an eye opening experience.

6. The tea-party and the fundies are driving more and more moderate conservatives from the party

I'm originally from RI and I grew up with Republicans like Lincoln Chafee (who is now an independent), people who would be branded as a RINO if not a full-bore liberal in other parts of the country. If this element of the Republican party keeps gaining power I would not be surprised if their base keeps shrinking as the saner members of the party decide to wash their hands of them.

That leaves two options, they try to form a new party that is closer to the ideals of the Republicans of the 50's, or they vote Democratic which may cause the party to slide further to the right if they join in enough numbers to influence primaries.

They're all way past their expiration date and are firing on one cylinder, quite literally not knowing what's going on.
Aside from "they wouldn't challenge DLC 3rd Way", what do they have to offer?

The crazy cannot have been by accident. It's a long range plan to preserve the wrong direction. If you have any doubts just watch what happens to the nation and the world in the next decade. Just a prediction.

That meant a shift to the right that forced the extremists in charge who believe there is no such thing as too far to the right. Why did he get the boot when Priebus has been a huge loser for them? That's what puzzles me. Steele has probably dropped anchor and is waiting for the tide to come in.

Seems to me all he did was take advantage of the rage built up over the ACA. And that rage was all about non-existent "Death Panels". Toss in some Koch Bros money and a copy of Ayn Rand and we have what we have - a party of misinformed nut-jobs.
