WH: Only Thing Missing in Republican Demands "Was a Birther Bill"

WH: Only Thing Missing in Republican Demands "Was a Birther Bill"

by TomP

Just a quick little post because it shows that the White House is not afraid of House Republicans and their threats to kill the American economy unless they get their way. No negotiations means no negotiations.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney commented today on the Republican list of demands in the extortion scheme regarding the debt limit ceiling:

The only thing I didn’t see was a birther bill attached to it," Carney quipped during the White House press briefing.

TPM

"Please proceed" House Republicans. The President will not allow a coup. Romney lost.

The irony is that the D.C. area feels the sequester more than any other area of the country. JDPriestly Sep 2013 #13

...why didn't the Tea Partiers insist something like that be added? Would Boehner have had the courage to say no?

O should come up with his own list of demands: single payer option, jobs bill, etc. And say, OK, you have your list, and I have mine. Now we can compromise.

I agree he should demand single payer. Tell them he will drop the Affordable Care Act when and only when they agree to Medicare for all.

That is where most of the federal employees live and spend their money.

We won't notice it as quickly in LA as you do in D.C. But the sequester could slow down the economy in the D.C. area pretty quickly.

We had riots in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. The strange thing was that the rioters affected their own neighborhoods the worst and before they affected the rest of the city.

Seems like that is what the Republicans are going to do. What fools!
