The TPP: 600+ "Trade Advisors" with access- Practically all of them corporate

It really bugs the hell out of me (surprise, surprise) that labor, environmental groups and others who represent the public are excluded, as well as Congress, when Haliburton, WalMart and Monsanto execs, to name a few, not only have access to the text but are "advising" the USTR on the deal.

This isn't conjecture. It's fact.

disaster for this country. Ed Schultz did a long segment about it tonight, with Sherrod Brown. Even Congress is shut out from the discussions.

Schultz said something like "this won't bring other countries up to our standards, it will force us down to theirs".

The supreme court ruled "the people" are not allowed to know the contents of the meetings. Such is the nature of what remains of our democracy.

is appalling, but the most appalling thing to me is the influence that corporations such as Monsanto have been granted- though with Siddiqi as chief ag negotiator, that's hardly a surprise as he was formerly a lobbyist for Monsanto and other like entitites.
