First of all, he does not speak for the majority of the "American people". He probably doesn't even speak for the majority of the Republican Party. He speaks for the Tea Party. That is all. He needs to be called out when he pretends to speak for the "American people". He does not.

(611 posts)The American people probably don't want the nightmarish, dystopian version of Obamacare that Cruz and his peers keep describing. They do want the real thing which will actually be fully implemented. Our culture used to think gorillas were big, scary monsters, because that's how we described them to one another. Now we know that they are gentle and intelligent creatures. If you describe that hidden thing behind the curtain as terrifying, the audience will have a negative reaction to the description, until the true nature of the hidden item is revealed.
Tarim, I get so tired of this false reality tunnel stuff that goes on in our culture. The RW uses communications media in our "Age of Doubt" to deceive and harm people.
