I hope her personal chef is getting a cut of the proceeds.

(23,156 posts)Bacon makes a lot of things wonderful.
I have a book about the Duchess of Windsor which contains some recipe for bacon which is sprinkled with brown sugar and then broiled. That sounds amazing also.

(32,681 posts)won't receive so much as a penny from me, ever. I wonder why Queen Ann is even doing this? Nobody actually believes that she cooks... Is Bain struggling after all the bad press last year?
"I've got it! You can sell a cook book! The 47% will love it!" They are beyond delusional. Smh

With the Food Network? Really? Who wouldn't buy cookbooks from professional cooks before they'd think of buying one from someone who probably has servants to cook for her?

(63,901 posts)last year's campaign? I had comfortably forgotten her shrieking "I LOVE YOU WOMEN!!!" in those clips played over and over again on TV...she was supposed to be Mitt's "secret weapon." She was even more horrific "weaponized."

(37,549 posts)my fascist uncle, and inscribe it from Ann.
I've done this with other winger tomes. The sad thing is, my uncle thinks he has inscribed copies of books from everyone from Kissinger to Coulter.

(50,552 posts)Even if she didn't write the thing (Mitt's personal cheap-bastardness is legendary - remember the big laugh we all had when we learned he wears dress shirts from Costco? - so it's highly probable that Ann doesn't actually have servants) you know Sunday dinner in Mitt and Ann's house looks like chowtime at Camp Lejeune.

(59,501 posts)Even though we cooked only vegetarian and fish in the late 1980s and 1990s, I ignored Linda McCartney's cookbooks - even though her husband was among my favorite musicians - because I had this bias having looked at so many useless celebrity cookbooks. I finally did buy one of hers and was surprised that it was not bad -- but, while I still use several cookbooks from that time - her cookbook is not among the 100 or so on the shelves in the house. ( It is in a book case in the garage along with others that I wanted to keep, but were not in the top tier. )
