Is this government shutdown the President's OK Corral?

Like the battle that defined the west, I think the next 72 hours will define President Obama's Presidency. If he blinks on Obamacare, his signature legislation, it is over. He will judged as weak and the remaining 3 years of his term will become meaningless. He cannot back down, and neither can Harry Reid. They are both smarter than me, so I know if I can see this, so can they.

I also think that this time, Boehner overplayed his hand. Boehner has had outstanding luck, and more times that not, he thought he was holding a bag of crap, but upon further review, it turned out to be flowers. No one is THAT lucky.

My Predictions:

1) Government shutdown begins Tuesday

2) This one is going to last quite a while, at least 14 days, maybe more

3) Just like what happened with the furloughs, it will continue until the CEO's start getting hurt, then they call in the thugs to shut the Tea Party Down

4) Tea Party concedes; Boehner shown to be the ineffective leader he is

5) The debt ceiling is raised in November with little to no opposition

as they don't have the votes to force a government shutdown on their own.

This moment defines the Republicans and they are shooting themselves in the head, not the foot.

Ooophs, sorry about the hyperbole

From a distance of 6 feet, 9 people fired 30 shots between them and only hit 5 times.

If our President and/or our Democratic Senate roll over now - you can kiss the rest of Obama's term good bye. Republicans have been emboldened by all the previous compromises. If it isn't different this time - then WE need a new party. One with enough balls to stand up for what we believe in.
