The Govt Agency I work for just gave us Friday, the details of the furlough.

We go in Monday and try to ready for years end. Clean up accounts as much as possible (We are Accountants).

Tues we come in, ready total shutdown.

12:00 we are given our furlough papers.

Go home.

They'll be entered on Monday with four days of furlough, unless a miracle happens.

I'm thinking about going up to Pittsburgh to visit my mom, who is hopefully getting out of a rehabilitation facility on Monday and may need some help. But, with my luck, I'd just get up there and the fuckers would settle, and I'd have to head back home to DC to be at work the next day.
