State lawmaker Precourt seeks expressway authority job
State Rep. Steve Precourt is among 16 people who have applied so far to become the next director of the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority.
Precourt, R-Orlando, and the others are seeking to replace Max Crumit, whose last day as director is Monday.
Crumit quit after three of his five member board said they wanted a new top manager because Crumit was interested in a return to consulting.
Precourt, 53, has one year left in the Legislature before being forced out by term limits. He could not be reached for comment.
