Just thinking ... (ACA related)

If I were the Republican Party I'd look at the the Affordable Care Act and realize that it was coming no matter what I did. I'd probably have glommed in on that fact about the day after it was signed into law. After that, if I wanted to win elections, I'd have spent the next three years (prior to implementation) trying to expand its most popular sections to apply to the most people possible and then I'd be out on the stump taking credit for every single bit of it. I certainly wouldn't be calling it Obama care, I'd be giving credit to myself and just sit back and wait for the votes to pour in. I'd be using the major Government program to win elections.

But the Republicans aren't doing anything like that. So I was just thinking, "I wonder why?"

And then it occurred to me what the answer was. The Republicans do not rely on votes to win elections.
