I only found one link that named names at that link led to Freeperville, hence, I did not check it out. Whatever I am doing research wise I am not searching correctly. What you see in the title is what I am using as my search question. I have used Yahoo not Google.

(37,305 posts)But the main guys were the ones behind Romneycare I believe.
Authors of Affordable Care law astounded by its trials
A day after the Supreme Court upheld President Obamas health care law by one vote, Jonathan Gruber and John McDonough perhaps the two nonpoliticians from Massachusetts most responsible for transforming the states health reforms into national legislation expressed incredulity at how close the law came to being overturned.

(22,651 posts)other Americans concerned about healthcare for us all did. plus many other countries have good healthcare for all their citizens. Some probably came from that work.
Not sure because Romney got rid of ALL his state computer records but his 'romneycare' policy probably had parts taken from Clinton work too.
Or maybe insurance lobbyists did some of the work so they could be close to some of the profits.
Have you checked the White House website? If you go back to the first days of 'Obama care' I bet records are there. just search "Affordable Health Care Act" and you can see and read the act.

BTW here's the first precursor to the PPACA that was introduced into Congress under Obama:

(75,480 posts)adopted it as a Republican plan for health care being it's all insurance company friendly. Don't remember the exact dates. Mitt Romney got it adopted in Massachusetts when he was governor. Hillarycare was also a version of it.
This begs the question as to the motives of the Republicans hating it now that our New Democratic President got it passed.

(21,475 posts)proposal was Hillary want Business to be the one's responsible for providing Health Care Insurance and Republicans wanted the onus to be on the individual..hence individual mandate. Now that is what they say they are so opposed to. It always amazes me how the Hypocrisy never gets presented to their faces and asked for explanations...

(65,616 posts)in a real country with a strong independent media that question would have been asked from the beginning.
"Why don't Republicans support a healthcare law that was created by the Heritage Foundation and used in Mass. by Mittens...who last time I checked ran for POTUS as a republican?"
Yeah can't let the masses in on the rank lie, that would expose everything.

(7,712 posts)ObamaCare's architects reap windfall as Washington lobbyists
By Megan R. Wilson - 08/25/13 12:06 PM ET
ObamaCare has become big business for an elite network of Washington lobbyists and consultants who helped shape the law from the inside.
More than 30 former administration officials, lawmakers and congressional staffers who worked on the healthcare law have set up shop on K Street since 2010.
Major lobbying firms such as Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock, The Glover Park Group, Alston & Bird, BGR Group and Akin Gump can all boast an Affordable Care Act insider on their lobbying roster putting them in a prime position to land coveted clients.
When [Vice President] Biden leaned over [during the signing of the healthcare law] and said to [President] Obama, This is a big f'n deal, said Ivan Adler, a headhunter at the McCormick Group, he was right.

How the Heritage Foundation, a Conservative Think Tank, Promoted the Individual Mandate
Avik Roy 10/20/2011
Heritage did put forward the idea of an individual mandate, though it predated HillaryCare by several years. We know this because we were there: In 1988-90, we were employed at Heritage as a public relations associate (a junior writer and editor), and we wrote at least one press release for a publication touting Heritages plan for comprehensive legislation to provide universal quality, affordable health care.

(32,324 posts)Then in the end, he and Liz Fowler (who had been "in the industry" prior to summer of 2009), those two finished up the legalese and passed it off to someone over at the House of representatives.
Rahm Emanuel will never have to worry about campaign contribution as long as he lives.
Liz Fowler was given a top spot at one of the Biggest Insurers in order to properly thank her for her efforts.
