Diane Black (R-TN) just now on MSNBC blathering R talking points on ACA

is a former nurse. She literally chirped on and on about how "the Amerian people don't want this" and how healthcare reform is some how harmful to everyone. Most of these former healthcare workers/physicians who wind up in Congress have been the most strident of opposition to any reform in healthcare. It is infuriating because it leaves me to conclude that protecting the perks of the profession afforded by the current system is somehow more important than providing the healthcare so many need.

If she is willing to engage in this level of deceit, the helping professions are better off without her.

this is going to go a long way at putting the ever rising costs in check. In the short term they aren't going to be able to put huge $$ in their pockets. But what I think that they are failing to see is what they will gain by it in the long term. Just think, millions more people being able to get health care. It means billions more dollars for them.

"the American people don't want this". Obviously Frank Luntz provided that talking point given that they are ALL using it.

However, none of the media heads are making any response to it as I have heard it on Ed, Rachel, Alex Witt, and Tweety so far and not a single one of them responded to it. They just leave it out there unchallenged.

I have yet to hear any one who has said this cite an actual poll for this claim.

The American people do not want Obamacare.

As if to include everyone.

Her net worth is almost $29 million because of her husband's stake in Aegis Sciences Corporation, a "...forensic chemical and drug-testing laboratory specializing in the Zero-Tolerance Drug Testing® testing programs for businesses, professional and amateur sports drug testing, pain management physicians, and medical examiners"

Not only is she rich, but that money is ill-gotten.

Fucker.

I'm pretty sure most people do want to go to the doctor. It's that often they can't afford it. The ACA will change that.

Why are we listening to a "former" nurse talking about a health care issue without asking if she was a good former nurse? Given that she was a Republican, the odds are that she got out of nursing when she found out it required her to help people.
