An e-mail from Sherrod Brown

Dear Barbara,

The Koch brothers' group Americans for Prosperity is back on the air in Ohio.

And the Supreme Court is hearing the McCutcheon case -- which is essentially Citizens United 2.0 -- next month.

The endless stream of outside spending in our elections is a threat to our democracy. And it's up to grassroots networks like ours to make sure the interests of middle class families are heard over all of that noise.

Our FEC deadline is tomorrow -- which gives us under 36 hours to hit our $35,000 goal. Can you contribute $5 or more to help?

With the government on the verge of a shutdown, and obstructionists in Congress ready to put America's full faith and credit at risk, there's no more important time for us to make sure our voices are heard.

Thank you for all of your support.

I wish he were my Senator...

Maybe someday he'll run for higher office, and I'll get to support him then.

plus a couple of calls a week.
I have only a little money for my local congressman and our senate candidate.

I so wish someday we will have public financing. Dems in general have little money, so it forces our congress critters to go where the money is (wall street etc) to get money to be even a bit competitive.
