Drunk On Sports, Media Blather & Brainless Infotainment Voters Generally Clueless About Crisis

If you walk the streets of the US most people are completely oblivious to what is going on in Wathington. Government shutdown, the budget and the debt ceiling is not anywhere on their radar. Yet they can spout the stats of just about every sports figure they watch. Young white guys are the worse because too many have the intellect of a rock.

So the GOP can drone on and on. And when it comes to elections only about 30% of the voters will decide. We have an epidemic of low information, wrong information and no information voters. And because we have a society where so many people are so uneducated that you have to communicate at a grade school level, I have a hard time being optimistic about the situation.

During the post WWII period it seemed like people were better informed and we actually had better politicians. None of these present fools in the GOP today would have ever been on the public stage. Everyone of these fools today are like Joe McCarthy and they survive and even thrive now. Joe McCarthy got his due eventually. None of these latest bastards ever will. And one of them may actually be president.

All you have to do is watch Jay Leno's street stunts to be alarmed. When I hear responders say that Russia and the US fought the Revolutionary War. Or when I hear someone say that WWII was fought by US and Africa or some other really stupid answer I am just stunned.

Jay Walking is so revealing. I wonder how many people do not know that Obama is president. The factoid that Speaker "Boner" is not well known makes you wonder. What else does the public not know.

I am sure that a lot of people believe Obamacare is a communist plot or something. The things I hear people say make me shudder.

and I've watched over the years as relatives and acquaintances literally destroy their brains watching Foxnews. To the point of total absurdity in the things they say about reality. The M$M has successfully poisoned millions of minds into consumerland happy funtime show.

Just watch how many blame the wrong branch of government for the upcoming shutdown by Congress.
