50,000 March in Manchester, UK, over NHS Cuts

About 50,000 have taken part in a union protest against austerity cuts and NHS changes during the Conservative Party conference in Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police described it as was one of the largest protests they had ever policed

The BBC has covered it - as a local, not national, story. CNN has stories about the christening of the royal baby and jewelry found on a glacier in France. Also about how India needs their own Oprah Winfrey (?).

50,000 people are ignored. I don't get it.

And in this country, "establishment" means the Tories. Of course, the Tories claim that the BBC are liberal, just like your conservatives do.

Incidentally, this is not just me being conspiratorial. At one point, the Beeb had an in-house MI5 officer vetting employment prospects (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_Stonham).
