As it stands, it's just Tom Friedman, NY Times columnist, saying something forceful, not Tom "mustache of understanding" Friedman, inventor of the Friedman unit, who never speaks ill of the right without adding a "both sides" bit to show how reasonable and centrist he is, finally feels compelled to put the blame squarely on the Republicans.
