are only interested in the Bible as history book, which ends with the Apocalypse. Senators answering to statewide constituencies and having much longer terms are both factors inhibiting the rise of total nutcases to power as in the house. Cruz will be a pariah after this among his colleagues, still beloved by the House idiots and stirring up mischief there? Just a guess.

Gerrymandering has made many congressional districts very partisan, but those who have to run state-wide elections have a chance of losing to Dem challengers, especially in purple states.
