I used to think Dianne Feinstein was progressive.

But she's really appearing more and more like she thinks government's primary role is to protect and perpetuate itself, instead of progressively advancing the cause of the citizens it serves. She has mildly criticized the NSA some, but most of her comments have tended to justify their worst intrusions. And today, it's reported she is moving forward in her committee to codify into law the NSA's ability to obtain and save Americans' phone call information.
