But then I saw it was only 37 seconds. So I figured if you Steven could sit in a room for as long as you did surrounded by the Crazy, I could spend 37 seconds watching this clip.

I wish other people in the cable media when talking to a bagger would do what you did in this clip. Just keep talking. The second you stop the baggers start talking (ok talking is to civil for them yelling or at the very least talking extremely loud) they don't stop.

Like that rancid pubic hair dude that's head of the rnc, this is how normal interview with him goes when he is on anything but faux:

Host of pretty much any program: Let me Welcome the head of the RNC...
rancid pubic hair: Thanks for having me here, Obama sucks, Bad President with no leader ship, Obamacare will kill everyone, etc etc no periods to end sentence, just talk talk talk and when the interviewer tries to speak no matter what don't breathe and talk louder until your time is up.

Good job though and keep doing what you are doing.

Kudos for having brass ones, and for standing up for the truth even though you have to wear thick rubber boots in that snake pit of slimy propagandists! It also helps that you can talk in rapid fire and do so with a clear voice so you're heard.

Keep up the good fight! Thanks for sharing the clip with us. Since I never watch Fox "News" Channel, I would've never known you were on that show. It was a treat to watch, Steve!

More of them (44%) watch CNN. But that 28% of Fox "News" Channel viewers would even consider watching MSNBC is huge news to me.

A slighty smaller percentage — 28 — of Fox News viewers also watched MSNBC, although since Fox News has more actual viewers than MSNBC, the actual number of viewers may be higher. Forty-four percent of Fox News viewers also watch CNN.

http://www.thewrap.com/fox-news-viewers-also-watch-msnbc-study-says/

Maybe they're the ones who consistently vote on Ed Schultz's daily question, and make up the 2-5% that consistently vote against every question Big Ed poses.

but Hannity will never allow anyone he doesn't agree with an opportunity to present a logical question or opinion. It's so hard to watch not just because his opinions are so wrong-headed and dumb but because of the way he treats the few articulate and honest "guests" he allows on the show. It is no wonder that we have so many elected reps voting against needed and smart policies; most of their gerrymandered-in constituents watch and listen to this garbage every day.

There were three or four guys who darted in and out to hold mics near whoever was speaking.

They were really fast. It's not easy and when you consider that they have to make sure they don't hit anything in the process because that sound would show up and be an ugly interruption, they did a really good job!

It's an outrageous amount of vocal mic inputs.

Do you leave them on and let everybody scream to their hearts content? Do you hire a small army of sound guys to be quick on the mute buttons for each individual input?

We had a crappy debate in our venue last year between Elliot Spitzer and Glenn Beck. The set up looked very similar to that set up. Micing 50-60 people with lavalier mics is a recipe for disaster and creates an absolute insane amount of work for the sound guys. In the end, they did the same thing they did in Steve's video. That's just how they do it in the industry.

And trust me, they've had decades and decades to figure out the best way to do it.

74. I'm used to it...
Sun Nov 3, 2013, 03:05 AM
Nov 2013

I've been doing this for nearly 20 years. When I started, it was seen as trade. Like plumbing. Or carpentry. "Stagecraft" to be exact and all that entailed (audio, lighting, video, staging, pyro, rigging, yada yada)

Now that the corporations have taken over (and it's been that way for more than a decade now), they view the people that do stagecraft as simple slack jawed yokels that can be replaced by any crackhead or ready temp off the street. Hey...they don't have to pay them jack and they could care less if those people get hurt. And the public view has gone the same way.

I'm the boss now, but on a regular basis I have to field complaints from some guy that has a nice stereo at home about the quality of sound. Forget that it's $750,000 PA that's been tuned for the room and that the sound guy has 30+ years of experience. The guy with the Kenwood at home is positive he can make it sound better if you'd just take his advice.

What are you gonna do? They've been lowering the bar for so many years, you just have to deal with it. It's a dying industry (for any average Joe at least) and as soon as the corporations can figure out how to automate it all, the stagecraft guys will be gone, and us production managers will all be downsized for a couple dudes in New York to do all the prep work via email and skype.

I lurk on a lot of the bigger conservative discussion forums to see what the reaction is to my appearances.

I tend to get a fair amount of "I hate that !@#$% Leser (or pick some intentional bastardization of my name) but I can't argue with what he said about XYZ." or "... he had a point about XYZ" etc.

Obviously I get a lot of criticism, hate mail, hate tweets and all of that too, occasional death threats against me or my family or expressing a desire to see me/us dead. That also is an indication of impact. They wouldn't bother with me if there was no reason to do so.

One of the reasons that I can't stand to watch Fox Propaganda channel because people don't seem to have enough manners to stay quiet for a few seconds while someone else is talking - like those who did that to you yesterday. Are they trying to shout opposing views down? Do they think that the speaker will suddenly stop, listen to them, and change his mind? Are they always so rude?

You are made of better stuff than I am. I would have said something about their blatant rudeness.
