5. I've been using SomethingAwful.com

and their "Paintings of Light" for years as an antidote to any sight of a Kinkaid painting anywhere, under any circumstances.

My own antidote is an incredibly treacly paint by numbers Kinkaid that is better than any of his originals, which I think makes the point better than anything I could say.

I bought it at a thrift shop, very expensively framed. It's one of my prized possessions along with my mother's "Screw the Golden Years" fridge magnet.
