(25,908 posts)It's a pithy observation that cuts through all the bushwa and resonates with people.
I can't understand why women would vote Republican unless the are rich or hold very fundamentalist/Catholic anti-choice beliefs. I agrre - it is suicidal. Because I care about myself and my daughter, I oppose the GOP agenda.

(17,505 posts)The left side.... of the woman voting GOP... looks like it's from the 1920's... when the parties were not quite what they are today.
Today, anyone with a frontal lobe voting Republican is a mystery.

(1,957 posts)in a time period when women had few rights "ala Stepford Wives" and just did her husbands bidding including who to vote for, stay home when she was pregnant or even during her monthly cycle(wouldn't want her contamination spreading around),endured being his sex slave,cook,housekeeper,nanny--not having any opinions or options nor did her feelings get in the way of this marriage by dictatorship.
It's what they want women to be like today and view any free spirited, free thinking female as a disaster in the making. How dare she decide if or when she wants kids? How dare her decide if she wants to work outside the home! How dare her not be willing to have sex or clean the house simply because she's not feeling well! Yet we still have women who think it's ok for men to rule the roost. I say "not for this chicken"!! It's an equal opportunity establishment where I live!
