ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The cards handed out along with candy to kids on Halloween in a northwest Albuquerque neighborhood carried pointed messages.
"I am not a clump of cells."
"53 million killed."
Frank Valdez, who found the cards in the trick-or-treat bag of a friend's child, said he couldn't believe someone would put other people's kids into the middle of the fight over banning late-term abortions in Albuquerque.
"We just noticed these cards attached to certain candies and started pulling them off, and we were pretty shocked to see that kind of stuff targeted at kids," Valdez told KRQE News 13. "They're forcing an agenda on little kids, pretty much."

(43,049 posts)Kids are exempt from this kind of adult nonsense-- no exceptions. Their "kidness" is a time for them for joy and wonder before they grow into our adult messes.
Think of the mother whose little Mary or Tommy comes into the living room asking "Mommy, what's an abortion? And why is a late term one bad?"

I wish they could get it through their thick skulls that stunts like this do more to undermine their message rather than strengthen it.

If they were shocked forced birthers would target kids this way, they must have never met one before. Usually everyone in the neighborhood knows where they live and never associates with them in any way.
