My beautiful cat's beautiful life is nearly over. (Repost)

Mina has been my life for the last fifteen years. I got her as a two-year-old cat from a Tonkinese breeder who described her as a "love bug". She has been that and much more. As she approaches the end (she's had pancreatitis, UTI's, chronic renal failure and most recently, chylothorax), I wrote and performed a song as a testament to the amazing life she's had and the impact she's had on me. No, it's not politics but it's about something that every one of us can understand...true love.

I had the Prince of Cats whose name was Buddhi. He looked and behaved just like Mina, but with seal points rather than lavender. He left me 9 years ago when he was 18. I remember him with love every day.

My cat is in the animal hospital and we're not sure she'll make it, needs a blood transfusion and they don't know what's causing her illness. We said goodbye in case we don't see her again and it hurt so damn bad. She's only three but has been such a part of our family we can't stand not seeing her around the house.
