Why are we discussing in so many threads the extent of a women's right to choose

Think about this I have an easier time getting a drug to get an erection so I can go out have sex and theoretically get as many women pregnant as I want. But if said woman wants birth control to stop that from happening they have to jump through hoops. If they get pregnant and for whatever reason they choose to get an abortion in a ton of states it's even more difficult. Womens reproductive rights shouldn't be up for debate by anyone left or right they should be absolute. I hope this makes sense to people who read it.

When I went for my 2x yearly exam, my gynecologist wrote out a new prescription and that was that.

edit to add -- I don't know why the sudden spike in these kinds of threads.

It's a control problem when men assume they have the unchallenged power to be the moral guardians of society and dictate what rights we 'lesser' beings will have in their dystopian vision.

The pharmacy I had gone to forever wouldn't get birth control pills in, and this was before pharmacists refusing to give out birth control became an issue, so I didn't understand what was going on.

And I really had to jump through hoops to get a tubal ligation. Actually, I had to tell the truth, that I would have an abortion if I got pregnant again, before I could find someone to give me one.

without her husband's consent. I have other friends who were told that they couldn't have the procedure without a signed notice from their husbands that they were aware of their wives' choices. This was in the late 1980s.

Back in the '70s, it was common for doctors to tell women that they wouldn't prescribe BC pills nor insert IUDs. Part of the reason women started going to gynecologists for routine care was access to birth control.

has spurred a lot of the threads in the last few days.

This current environment shows that GOP now realize their message is so utterly unappealing that they must use incrementalism and gradualism to drag our country down into the pit of peasantry and 13th century ideals.

I want to know how quickly this Texas case makes it to the Supreme Court. I bet Roberts court rules against women if it does.

This is the only way to institute their anti women policies. They have to get a law in front of the court while it still leans conservative

any restriction on it is repugnant and morally regressive attack on women's rights. There needs to be a constitutional amendment to make it so regressive states like Virginia and Texas can no longer restricts women's human right to choose!!!
