You have to scroll through absolutely gigantic photos of politician faces with all their skin pores and facial moles in order to find an occasional link to news articles.
On regular computer the pictures take up half or more of the screen.
On an iPad you get nothing but huge, ugly photos.
I go to news web sites to find news, not enormous stock photos of John Boehner and Harry Reid's heads.
Photos need to be enhancements to the articles, the articles should not be enhancements to the photos.
Yuk!
If this doesn't change MSNBC is going to disappear from my news bookmarks.

(7,408 posts)Nbcnews.com still has a decent format though. Msnbc.com is like 90% photos now with an article link sandwiched in here and there.

(15,682 posts)Not that I won't look it up myself (just this once - kidding) - but sometimes I'm just so gosh darned lazy, or I'm reading from my phone or, hell, I could come up with excuses all night!

(51,122 posts)...on the upper right, it just slides up a big photo with the exact same headline.
Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting to go to the story.
You shouldn't have to click twice. Dumb.
I blame iPads for bad web UX like this.
Yes, me. I blame iPads.
My wife and I were just talking about this when I saw this thread.

(1,941 posts)The only thing worse than shit interfaces is the insistence of directing mobile users to the mobile front page even when you clearly clicked a specific link. Give me the mobile version of the article or not but you'd better give me something!

(8 posts)I absolutely agree with you I am not going to be using it. I had gotten used to the former site and could find articles and interesting news and now can find nothing. They have lost me.
